Due to the changing nature of our planet’s climate and its oceans, there is a growing demand for marine scientists who are trained to understand these changes in a holistic fashion. They need to anticipate future changes, and have the knowledge, skills and experience to collaborate with others and create solutions to the challenges facing our oceans, both today and in the future.

The School of Ocean Futures is addressing this need by developing a new bachelor’s degree. We anticipate having more information about the program in early spring 2024 and, if approved, our first cohort of students will start in the 2024-2025 academic year.

If you are currently a student at ASU, you can explore some of our first course offerings. Additionally, if you are a student at or outside of ASU, you can learn more about our summer study abroad opportunity in Bermuda.
